My Favorite Beach Vacation

My most memorable family vacation was a trip to the beach we took when my kids were young. We rented a small house right on the shore and spent almost a month doing nothing for days at a time. We would get up early and enjoy breakfast on the porch overlooking the surf. Then we would pack up our beach gear and spend the day down on the sand. We would put the kids down for a nap under the portable beach umbrella and read while they rested. Then we would head up to the house to make a supper. Every day ended with an evening stroll back down to the water to watch the sun go down.
