Importance of Insulation

Insulation is necessary when you have a wooden garage door because these doors are very reactive to wear and tear of weather. They can get cracked easily when direct sunlight shines on them but you can save them with insulation and increase their average life. Normally no insulation is necessary with metallic door but mild insulation can work with steel doors in very harsh conditions. Insulated garage door can also save you electricity as it will help you in keeping your internal temperature steady. Try to insulate your wooden door with a high R value insulator while low R value insulator can work with metals.
