Normal Sickness or Side Effect

I recently was put on a medication to help me improve my thinning bone density problem. I am of the age where my doctor would like to see that my bones get a little stronger because a possible fall would mean a fracture if not a break. So he put me on the medication and not more than 2 weeks later I caught a head cold. I am having a difficult time swallowing and I do not know if it is because of the cold or if I can blame it on Fosamax Side Effects. I do not want to stop taking the medication if it is cold related.
