From all the experiences I have seen, dogs love a mixture of wet and dog food. However it is combined, it just seems to go together the best. Whenever I would observe dogs eating just dry food, they would get disenchanted and/or prefer to drink more water, leaving them more susceptible for urinating in the house. Too much wet food had their insides acting up and having to defecate more often. As with most things in life, a balance seemed to work out best. Do not get me wrong: my father’s dog Coffee used to literally eat around the dry food, she just hated it. But by and large, most dogs seem to enjoy the combination of the flavors and textures the variety of wet and dry dog food provides.
