Married young and in debt

March 16th, 2009

My wife and I were married in March 2004 while we were still in college.  I graduated that May and my wife graduated the following year.   I spent most of the next year, as she finished college, working as a bus driver and waiting for her to finish school so we could get jobs in what we attended college for. Needless to say, I made little money.  We both had school loans and found ourselves charging more than we would have liked to just to make ends meet.  We both found jobs, but are not making the income we were expecting to make.  Our credit card debt quickly became unmanageable.  We are now enrolled in credit card debt relief and look forward to being debt free within the year.
