Hello, are you there? This is Cigarette. Why haven’t you been to visit me lately? We used to be such great friends. We went everywhere together, and if I wasn’t allowed somewhere you came out to see me every hour our two. We had so much fun in smoke-filled rooms all the other cigarettes and their servants. Now you spend all your time with that other guy, Electronic Cigarette. You say he’s a much better friend because he doesn’t make you smell like smoke, or cause so many health problems. But didn’t we have a good time visiting the doctor together, getting your lungs checked?

It has really been a long time since I have been to the city. After a decade in India and Thailand it is very strange to walk the streets of New York City again. I am also very excited as I am meeting my sister tomorrow and I will be meeting her three years old daughter that I have never seen. They live in California so I am catching a flight in the morning. I have bought the girl a Toy Kitchen which I have sent to California already and it should arrive tomorrow afternoon if I did the planning correctly.

Every decision we make about technology for the office now must be normed to the lowest common denominator, that is to say, Daniel. He’s been promoted to Associate Dean so every expenditure must cross his desk for approval. Though he is very good with people, he is, unfortunately, to say the least not a visionary when it comes to business technology. His view seems to be that technological advances only increase the pace of annoyance.
I suppose it’s actually a good thing, in that any expenditure he will approve has a clear path up the chain, but I find myself having to explain every detail of how something will work and how it will approve productivity in language that a child would understand.
I suppose that I shouldn’t be blogging about all of this, but I rest easy, knowing that he’ll certainly never read any of it.

Basically, these hidden gems of the internet will allow you to link up with likeminded guitar fiends so that you may discuss guitars and guitar music until the cows come home. If you are looking to discuss a world in which John Lennon was never shot and Jimmy Hendrix and Bob Marley still play and tour or a debate on the best Beatle’s spin off band, then you are not more than a message board and a few clicks, points, and key strokes away.
