I remember when I was a kid watching my grandfather pull in his big old RV. He was the best grandfather that any grandson could ever ask for. One of my favorite things he would do is honk the big loud horn. It made all kinds of sounds and songs to sing along with. It gives me great memories to this day when I think about it. So this past year I decided to do something to my truck in memory of him. I searched and found the loudest train horn kits I could buy. I had it installed and think of my grandfather every time that I honk it.

People are people. Just because I have a disability, that does not change what I would like to get out of my life. I want a husband and family and home life just the same as everyone. After my first semester of college, I knew that the second semester was going to be even more challenging. Photography is a difficult field to master, so I decided that after my first year was over, I was going to do an intense internship search so I could have a little more experience under my belt than the other students in my class. My dad always told me about the importance of doing an internship, and I’m starting to see what he means. I need to do something extra if I’m going to really stand out. Plus, I think I can get college credit!

My husband and I just bought a new house. The house has a pool and while we did not necessarily want one with a pool, we liked the house and decided that we would probably get some use out of the pool in the long run. However, when we started to get it up and running, we found out there was a leak in the pump. We are wondering how to repair a pool pump leak. We have figured out where it is leaking and removed that part. I am hoping that I can take that piece to our pool store and get a new one.

My husband and I recently traveled out of state, and we left our teenage son at home. We had been concerned that he might try to have a party despite our stern warning forbidding it, and so we ordered some self contained hidden cameras and installed them in our living room and family room. We watched as he let friends into our house, and when we started seeing more people arrive, we called the house. When he answered, we told him he had five minutes to get everyone out. He did promptly, and after we got home the next evening, we informed him that he was grounded for a month.
